🐶 Thanksgiving Safety Tips for Dogs

ree

We know Thanksgiving is all about family, food, and giving thanks — but here are a few quick tips to help keep your pup’s holiday safe and tail-waggin’ good!

šŸ— 1. No turkey bones, please!

Cooked bones can splinter and cause serious internal injuries. Stick to their favorite dog-safe chews instead.

🄧 2. Skip the pie for the pups

Many holiday desserts contain xylitol, raisins, or chocolate — all toxic to dogs. A small spoonful of plain pumpkin purĆ©e makes a festive (and safe) treat!

šŸž 3. Beware of bread dough

Unbaked dough expands in a dog’s stomach — definitely not the kind of ā€œstuffingā€ we want them to have.

šŸ½ļø 4. Watch those guests

With friends and family coming and going, make sure doors and gates stay closed. It only takes a second for a curious pup to go exploring!

šŸ•Æļø 5. Keep calm and cuddle on

Loud gatherings or travel can be overwhelming. Give your dog a cozy space with their bed or favorite toy where they can relax.

From our pack to yours — we’re endlessly thankful for your trust, your support, and the joyful pups who make Dog Dude Ranch feel like home.

Here’s to full hearts, full bellies, and wagging tails. Happy Thanksgiving!Ā šŸ¾šŸ’›
