We know Thanksgiving is all about family, food, and giving thanks ā but here are a few quick tips to help keep your pupās holiday safe and tail-wagginā good!
š 1. No turkey bones, please!
Cooked bones can splinter and cause serious internal injuries. Stick to their favorite dog-safe chews instead.
š„§ 2. Skip the pie for the pups
Many holiday desserts contain xylitol, raisins, or chocolate ā all toxic to dogs. A small spoonful of plain pumpkin purĆ©e makes a festive (and safe) treat!
š 3. Beware of bread dough
Unbaked dough expands in a dogās stomach ā definitely not the kind of āstuffingā we want them to have.
š½ļø 4. Watch those guests
With friends and family coming and going, make sure doors and gates stay closed. It only takes a second for a curious pup to go exploring!
šÆļø 5. Keep calm and cuddle on
Loud gatherings or travel can be overwhelming. Give your dog a cozy space with their bed or favorite toy where they can relax.
From our pack to yours ā weāre endlessly thankful for your trust, your support, and the joyful pups who make Dog Dude Ranch feel like home.
Hereās to full hearts, full bellies, and wagging tails. Happy Thanksgiving!Ā š¾š
